Introducing Critical Literacy to EFL Learners
1.- Young doctors do not have experience, for that reason they are afraid of doing something wrong. Also is difficult to get practices. Moreover, they need a doctor chief in order to improve and gain security on themselves. Another problem they have to face is the dead of a patient because it is a hard situation. Furthermore, young doctors ought to be honest and have work ethic.
2.-In my country the medical system is not good because public hospitals do not have the necessary equipment, medicines and doctors to take care of sick people. Therefore if we need to go to the doctor it would be better to have a particular insurance to get a good and promptly attention.
3.- Yes, because this book shows the inequality treatment of the rich and poor people. Also young doctors are not well prepared to attend sick people. In several times they give useless medicine and the shortage of hospitals to attend all the people.
Some doctors try to make money out of sick people, considering that we can say Citadel is a protest book.
1.Well, I think the most important problem of young doctors, is that they are afraid of knowing the fact that they have a patient’s life in their hands, and that they are responsible of the treatment they are giving.
2.The medical system in our country is not very effective. When you go to a public hospital, the medicines they give you are for free and for instance, the doctors don’t charge. for most of us, that sounds grat!. I mean, you don’t have to pay anything or unless a short amount of money!, but here is the problem, you take the risk that the medicines they give you have runned out or they don’t give you the appropiate treatment. On the other hand, most of the best actual doctors in our country, that now work in private hospitals, have been trainned or have practiced in public hospitals, and I think that says a lot of them.
3.I agree with the fact that “The Citadel” is a protest book, becuase nowadays the people with more money are the ones who can afford a better treatment, like transplants for example, while poor people die in the same situations, with no chance to appeal for it.
1. I think young doctors can become nervous, considering that is his or her first job, because they have not experienced the responsability of having one life depending on you, I mean, if they do anything wrong the person can die, that´s why medicine is a hard work.
2. In my opinion the medical systen in my country have got more weaknesses than strengths, is in way like the book, because only if you have money you can recieve a good attention, an if not is the contrary, for example in the highlands there are few doctors, the condition of the hospitals are bad,and to make matters worse, is hard for the pacients to get the medicines they need.
3. Yes, because it shows the corruption in the medicine system, the doctors pretend they are good, when a lot of them are not, most of them only care about the money they will recieve and if they can obtain more money from the pacients is better.

Young doctors usually do not have as much experience as others because they are just starting. From my point of view, when they start their first job is hard to deal with patients, nurses, other doctors, etc. as they are not accustom to it. Their job has a lot of responsability: life depends on them. They can also face with the problem that the hospital is not well equipped and sometimes they feel they are not putting their great effort.
In Peru there are so many problems with hospitals as the medical system does not receive necessary support. This happens specifically in public ones, where people that protest are not heard. Apart from the equipment hospitals also do not have medicines and that is why innocent people is dying without help. We should do something now!
I think the Citadel book is use as a pacific way of protesting. They narrate the problems that arise in the medical system and what does people do for solving this ones.
1.- as we know most of the time young doctors don´t have enough experience and thats why in their first professional job they are nervous or thay are afraid of doing something wrong.also the biggest problem they have to face is death of a person because that means that they did something wrong and also as we know their objective is to save lives so they have to do all to do that.
2.- in peru the medical system is not a good as in other countries bacause in most of hospitals there´s not the right equipment to do treatments and also tha medicine is not enough to distribute it to sick people.on the other hand some doctors attend the people in an unfriendly way making them feel bad.
3.- i´m agree that this book is a protest one because there told us how poor people live an unfair situation bacause of not having money and rfeceive a bad attention with no opportunities of being cure, but how rich people receive all the treatments and have a special attention all because of paying an amount of money.
First of all, doctors are afraid and nervous.They don´t have enough experience and they are trusted with lifes, which are their responsability.They are under a lot of presure because they are just starting to know the enviroment and the job and they are afraid of making any mistake.
The medical system in my country is not very efficient and it doesn´t recieve the necessary support from the government. The principal problem are the public hospitals, were people who are really poor and sick and need treatment and medicines are not assisted right the way, they have to wait on a long queue for many hours, and sometimes, when they are finally assisted, they don´t recieve the necessary attencion.I think our government should concentrate more in this aspect and in the health of the people of our country.
I think the Citadil is indeed a protest book because it shows the difference between the poor people situations and the rich ones, the real medical system and the problems that doctors and patients have to face.
Well, young doctors have to deal with new situations which make then stronger people, such as losing a patient and having to communicate the news to the family. Also they find out that the job isn´t as easy as they thought because unfortunately corruption and money is the what really matters.
In my country the medical system offers a good service only to the ones who can afford big amounts of money, the public hospitals don´t have the necessary equipement and also there is many corruption because you can pay to make your processings faster; other problem is that there is medical negligence and the doctors which took part on it are still working there.
I think that The Citadel is a protest book because it shows the problems of the system, we can notice that it hasn´t change through the years, now unfortunately in our society money is what really matters; we, the new generation, have to change it.

I think the principals problems doctors have to face with is meeting the people they are going to work, they don’t know anyone there and it’s really hard working when the people behind you don’t know who you are, it’s feel really awful and rare. Also another inconvenient is the place and the enviroment where yor work place is situated. Most doctors choose a place that needs more help with very ill people. And the last is the medical systemit which most of times is been directed by corrupts doctors who prefer how much they can gain than help pacients.
2. In my country the medical system is not good at all, there are many hospitals and clinics to need new improvements and better doctors. Here the service depends in the amount of money you can spend, for the rich people the attention is inmediate and using the last of tecnology medicine and equipments but for poor people it doesn’t matter if they are sufering or very seriously, these people always put them away and if they have the lucky to be taken care most of the mdicines and equipments are in bad conditions that make them even more they were before. In some places, most in the capital,there are good services but for have some of this attention the first required is the money.

Moreover, it is a hard job dealing with different kinds of people, underestanding their pain and calming them down.
2. Here in Peru, the medical system is and has always been in crisis. The social securty practically does not exist. Our public hospitals are not eficcient or capable of giving the besta attention to those who need it. Also there is a strong prblem as doctors and nurses accepts bribes in order to give a better attention, the result is that those who cannot afford itare just condem to hold the pain.

I agree, it somehow show as the cuelty of those who has the power and give us a different perspective of how we can help and make a difference or how can a person became cruel, according to the enviroment, and do nothing in frontof injustice. I also think that the decription of the coloured water medicine is just accurate to describe what a lot of professional do, without even blinking.
1) Well i mu opinion principal problems doctors may have is to face and meet new the people they are going to work, and the people they may help, deal with the pain and so on-maybe another inconvenient is the place they are and the enviroment in most of cases people won?t feel confortable.

1) One of the important problems that young doctors have to deal with is the lack of experience and the worry and presure taht they have because there a lot of lifes in their hands and its their obligation to safe them.
2)In peru, the medical system has been always a caos. In public hospital there are a lack of medicines, equipments and doctors are not described to put in practices their profession because most of them do not have a good experience or does not have the equipment necessary to exert it. On the other hand, the clinics are efficient but expensive and that is the problem of most of Peruvian since we are in a difficult economic situation.
3) I agree with this book. Because show the reality in hospitals, the corruption and the critic situation that this have to face. Also the diferences between rich and poor people, and the better treatments that the reach`s one can pay while the poors one die of sickness and hunger
